EBO Electromechanical Integrated Solution for Loading, Unloading, Storage & Conveyance of Bulk Dry Materials in Power & Energy Industry

Thermal power plants and comprehensive energy bases mainly transfer core materials including raw coal, biomass fuel, coal ash and desulfurized gypsum. The industry is faced with prominent pain points such as severe dust generation during ship-wagon unloading, high safety risks in manual residual coal cleaning, unit operation interference caused by mixed ash and coal, spontaneous combustion-prone stockpiles, poor connection of water-rail intermodal transportation, and difficulty in recruiting labor for manual stations.

Shanghai EBO Electromechanical integrates screw/pneumatic ship unloaders, screw conveyors, pneumatic conveyors, full-series ship loaders, bulk loading machines, automatic truck loaders, enclosed intermediate warehouses, intelligent wagon-unloading robots and intelligent cleaning robots. We develop a full-process intelligent complete set solution covering waterborne incoming delivery, railway unloading & cleaning, enclosed conveyance, zoned storage and water-land outbound shipment. It is applicable to self-owned terminals of riverfront and coastal power plants, dedicated coal transport railway lines, and ash residue resource utilization storage & transportation bases.

Two mainstream ship unloader models are equipped for waterborne coal incoming delivery to power plants:

  • Screw ship unloaders: Suitable for raw coal and biomass pellets, supporting high-capacity continuous operation. The wear-resistant structure resists impact abrasion from coal lumps.

  • Pneumatic ship unloaders: Adopt negative-pressure fully enclosed conveyance, specially tailored for coal ash and ultra-fine coal slime to suppress fugitive dust at the source.

Supporting screw and pneumatic conveyors construct a double-line conveying pipe network within the plant area. Screw conveyors realize complete transportation of intact raw coal, while pneumatic conveyors enable long-distance transportation of pulverized coal ash, thoroughly eliminating material spillage and dust scattering along the entire transit route.

The whole railway feeding system is fully upgraded with intelligence. Intelligent wagon-unloading robots complete automatic wagon alignment and tipper unloading, matched with intelligent cleaning robots to remove adhered coal and residual materials inside wagons in 360° all directions, replacing high-risk manual wagon cleaning stations. The residual coal cleaning volume meets railway empty wagon standards, greatly shortening the full train unloading cycle and eliminating safety hazards from high-altitude and dusty operations.

Distributed enclosed intermediate warehouses are deployed in the plant area, with independent storage silos dedicated to raw coal and coal ash. Equipped with automatic material distribution, real-time stock level monitoring, temperature measurement & spontaneous combustion suppression, dust removal and dehumidification systems, coal and ash residues are stored in separate zones to avoid material mixing that reduces combustion efficiency. The warehouse adopts anti-seepage and windproof design to balance unit feeding load, with auxiliary anti-arching and anti-adhesion wall structures to guarantee stable fuel supply.

Dual water-land channels are available for material outbound delivery:

  • Waterborne outward shipment: Fixed, rail-mounted and tyre-type ship loaders are optional for outward transportation of coal ash and low-calorific-value coal. Sealed telescopic chutes lower material drop height to suppress dust scattering.

  • Land-based highway transportation: Matched with quantitative bulk loaders and full-automatic truck loading equipment to realize automatic vehicle alignment and precise metering, supporting unattended filling to meet the outbound demand of ash residue resource utilization.

The complete solution is equipped with an integrated intelligent central control platform to realize linkage scheduling of all equipment and remote real-time monitoring of throughput, dust emission, energy consumption and material temperature data, achieving low-manpower operation of the coal handling system. All series equipment adopts customized wear-resistant, anti-corrosion and anti-freeze-adhesion structures to adapt to harsh power plant operating conditions with heavy dust, severe abrasion and large temperature difference. Dust and noise emissions comply with thermal power environmental control standards. Covering the full chain of bulk dry material unloading, cleaning, conveyance, storage and loading, this one-stop solution addresses four core challenges for energy enterprises: environmental compliance, stable feeding, labor safety and material loss. It fits long-term continuous fuel supply and operation of all types of thermal power and comprehensive energy projects.
